The Horse and His Boy

Picture
Author: C. S. Lewis
Genre: Fantasy
 Number in series: 3

This book takes place during the Golden age, when Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy are high kings and queens of Narnia. Shasta, a fisher boy tries to escape to Narnia with Bree, a Narnian horse who was captured as a colt. He soon has some friends on his adventure, and they try to warn and save the Archenland.

I think the message of the story is to never lose hope, because Shasta at the beginning of the story was a slave, but in the end, a prince.

I thought this book was great, because this book gives you more of an insight of what happened during the Golden Age, which is mentioned often in the series. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars, because it was a bit confusing here and there.
